Benjamin started with CollaborativeWEALTH in early 2022 as our Trading Assistant. He works in general asset allocation and portfolio construction. Benjamin concentrates his time on the firm’s investment research and due diligence efforts across equities, fixed income, and alternative investments. He is responsible for working closely with our advisors in developing, implementing, and maintaining client portfolios. He has a big passion for financial services, working with clients, and researching securities to invest in.
Benjamin comes from a family with a lot of history in financial services. Both his dad and uncle have experience as financial advisors, and his grandfather and great-grandfather both worked on Wall Street. Benjamin first got his professional start in financial services when he interned for his uncle in the fall of 2016. It was that internship that sparked his interest in the financial service industry. His work experience includes working at a State Farm agency, working in a couple of other independent financial advising offices, and working for the Bank of New York Mellon in their ETF Accounting department. Benjamin holds 4-40 insurance license with the state of Florida, has passed the FINRA SIE exam, and has his Series 65 license. In the spring of 2021, he graduated from the University of Florida with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.
He currently lives in Lake Mary, Florida, with his wife, Kate, and their two children. Graham and Kennedy. They enjoy going on walks, drinking lots of coffee, participating in book clubs, and visiting friends and family. They are disciples of Jesus Christ and members of CrossPointe Church in Altamonte Springs.
